SkyNano Welcomes New Director of Engineering, Stewart Milne

We’re thrilled to announce a major addition to the SkyNano leadership team! Please join us in welcoming Stewart Milne as our new Director of Engineering.

Stewart brings a unique mix of high-impact leadership and technical expertise to our Louisville, TN headquarters. With a robust background spanning R&D management at Schneider Electric and distinguished service as a Captain in the U.S. Army, he is the ideal leader to help us scale our carbon-to-materials technology.

Why Stewart is a Perfect Fit for SkyNano:

  • Proven Engineering Leadership: Most recently, he served as Engineering Manager for Schneider Electric’s R&D department, where he led multidisciplinary teams in developing complex new product designs and robust project tracking.
  • Mission-Driven Background: As a former Army Company Commander, Stewart managed the health, welfare, and training of 95 soldiers, demonstrating the “people-first” leadership style that is core to our culture.
  • Technical Excellence: A Mechanical Engineering graduate from the Virginia Military Institute with a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Georgia Tech, Stewart possesses the precision and strategic mindset required to scale our technology.
  • Operational Grit: From managing civil infrastructure projects in the Army Reserves to overseeing systems for 1,300-person battalions, Stewart knows how to execute on a massive scale.

At SkyNano, we are on a mission to fundamentally change how the world thinks about carbon by transforming emissions into high-value materials like carbon nanotubes. As we continue to scale, Stewart’s unique blend of technical expertise and disciplined leadership will be instrumental in driving our engineering functions to new heights.

Welcome to the team, Stewart! We can’t wait to see the impact you’ll have as we transform the future of carbon materials.
