SkyNano is a technology company commercializing a novel manufacturing platform to produce advanced carbon materials including carbon nanotubes and battery-grade graphite at industrially-relevant price points with all-domestic supply chains for the first time. Our electrochemical process captures and transforms abundant U.S. industrial CO₂ by-products into high-value carbon materials, overcoming the cost and scalability challenges that limit today’s conventional manufacturing approaches. SkyNano’s platform unlocks the full performance potential of advanced carbon materials for industrial applications, defense needs, and consumer products.
Our technology has been featured in many peer-review scientific papers, received recognition from a 2020 R&D100 award, a 2021 TechConnect Defense Innovation Award, 2022 Governor’s Environmental Stewardship Award, the 2023 Knoxville Traction Award and was recognized with a 2019 Forbes 30 Under 30 award to our Co-Founder and CEO Dr. Anna Douglas. In fact, both SkyNano founders are Forbes 30 Under 30 innovators, as Prof. Cary Pint was awarded the recognition in the inaugural year of the awards.
